Elysee founded by Jaques Beaufort in 1920 the company went defunct after the death of Jaques only to be brought back to life by the Harer company in Pforzheim, Germany in 1960 and resold in 1991 to another German company. Typical of German manufacturing, Elysee is tightly controlled for quality and performance. Detail to design and performance is the trademark of Elysee, providing classic style with modern functionality and precision. While they do manufacture their top line watches, the lower end watches contain the mechanics of Casio and other companies making them more of a wholesaler in the watch arena.
